Le Champ des Lunes - Rouge 2006 - Wine

These wines come from a "sister" property of the Abbaye, in Cucuron (Vaucluse), a village equally steeped in history. Located on an unusual estate called "Grand Luberon", the vineyard enjoys an interesting location on a superbly exposed outcrop. A wine of elegance and power. This cuvée, built around syrah, presents characteristic aromas of leather and liquorice. Tannins are simultaneously strong and silky and this velvety feel gives it a wholly exceptional presence.

Fine deep ruby colour with good purple tints. A elegant nose with aromas of black fruits ( blackberry and blackcurrant)and some grilled note a testomony of a nice barrel transit. Rich and full-flavoured, the palate offers a fine tannic texture with good touches of vanilla. A beautiful final on cherry and prune aromas.
