Le Champ des Lunes - Blanc 2007 - Wine

These wines come from a "sister" property of the Abbaye, in Cucuron (Vaucluse), a village equally steeped in history. Located on an unusual estate called "Grand Luberon", the vineyard enjoys an interesting location on a superbly exposed outcrop. Produced only in very small quantities, the white Champ des Lunes is mainly made from grenache blanc. This variety of grape is known for its depth and roundness and gives off peach jam aromas of a particular intensity.

Wine production

Light pressing (pneumatic press). Fermentation at low temperature to contain all the aromas (15/16°C). Light fining process, with clarifying by natural sedimentation.

Yellow daffodil and brilliant in colour, tinted with gold. The nose is complex and powerful with honey and beeswax aromas but also delicate. The first taste is round and full, on the palate the wine offers great complexity on candied fruit aromas. A pleasing and rich white wine.

Ideal complements

With a grilled seebass or scallops.
